The lid of this box is an unusual piece of Spalted Maple.  (Please note that because it is spalted, the surface is not perfectly smooth.)

The sides of the box is from Aspen edged with Sapele and has Sapele splines in the corners. 

This box measures approximately 7 3/4” x 7 3/4” x 4”.
